Annual CIBER Statistical Study 2024-2025

The CIBER Program
The Centers for International Business Education and Research (CIBERs) were created by Congress under the Omnibus Trade and Competitiveness Act of 1988 to increase and promote the nation’s capacity for international understanding and competitiveness. Administered by the U.S. Department of Education under Title VI, Part B of the Higher Education Act of 1965, the CIBER network links the manpower and technological needs of the United States business community with the international education, language training, and research capacities of universities across the country. The sixteen Centers serve as regional and national resources to businesspeople, students, and teachers at all levels.

Scope of the Report
The Association of International Business Education and Research (AIBER) is an incorporated association representing the Centers for International Business Education and Research. Under AIBER auspices the University of Texas at Austin, CIBER collected data for the Annual CIBER Statistical Summary from 1989 to 2017 to demonstrate the impact of programs of the institutions funded by the CIBER grants. Data collection transitioned to the Indiana University CIBER in 2017. The current report shows data from the most recent academic year, as well as cumulative statistics for the program since 1989.
