LMU-CIBE supports student experiential learning trip to Asia

In May 2024, 10 LMU freshman and sophomore students traveled to South Korea and Taiwan as a culminating experience for their studies in the course, “Exploring Asian Culture.” In this course, students are introduced to the political and economic history of East Asia so that they better understand the way these historical backgrounds have shaped cultural values and norms in the region, and to help them relate what they have learned in the classroom to real business settings in East Asia. Yongsun Paik, professor of management and director of the Center for International Business Education and Center for Asian Business taught the course and led the field trip. Junghoon Park, assistant professor of management and Jennifer Tyler, assistant director for the Center for International Business Education and Center for Asian Business, also traveled with the class. The group spent one week engaged in discussions and visits to both corporate and cultural sites.
